Wall appoints former Deviners to transition team

This is from Buckdog's blog. Given the mess made by Devine perhaps by Nov. 7, 2011 the NDP can get back in quite easily. The next step will be to make Enterprise Saskatchewan the Devine Lite version of Devine's wretched privatisation programs.

Premier ‘Elect’ Wall Appoints Senior Grant Devine Staffer To Head Transition Team

One of Saskatchewan Premier Elect Brad Wall’s first tasks was to name his transition team. To put this into context, please remember that the Saskatchewan Party has hollered loud and far that they ‘are not the old Grant Devine Conservatives’ and have ‘NO connection to the former Grant Devine administration’.

So with that in mind, who are the two key functionaries that Mr. Wall has appointed to head up his transition team? ...... Reg Downs, former Ministerial Assistant in the Grant Devine government and Doug Emsley, former assistant Principal Secretary to Grant Devine (and new sweet heart of the Steven Harper government - Steven Harper appointed Emsley to the Board of Directors of the Bank of Canada in June 2007).

Way to go Brad ... nothing like honesty and ethics in government

Wall continuously referred to seeking 'nominees' for his new Enterprise Saskatchewan. Fairly undefined.

The new Opposition will have to carefully monitor and debate whatever legislation is brought forward to create the new agency.

Wall has said that Enterprise Saskatchewan will be funded with the line budget allocation from a current department (Economic Deveolpment or Trade and Industry). This sounds like a major logistical effort.

Many here think that the new Government will use E.S. to make 'arms length' recommendations concerning labour regulations and law, crown mandates - things that will cause major controversy and potential confrontation with organized labour and others.

It is going to be interesting; not necessarily fun, but interesting none the less.

Thanks for the h/t on this post!
