Democratic Space Seat Projections as of Sept15

This is from the Democratic Space election website:http://www.democraticspace.com/canada2008/

More details are at the site but here is a summary. Numbers in parentheses is the popular vote. The first number is the projected seats for a party. 155 is needed for a majority. In this poll the Conservatives have not yet made it but they are close.

Conservatives 145 (36.9)

Liberals 89 (26.6)

NDP 30 (17.2)

Bloc 42 (8.1)

Green 0 (10.1)

Other 2 (1.0)

This results show the manner in which our first past the post system can skew things. Nevertheless it seems that Canadians could care less. All attempts at reform so far have failed.
With ten percent of the vote the Greens get no seats, but with 8 per cent the Bloc get 42. The NDP has twice as much popular vote compared to the Bloc but far less seats.
