Election speculation mounts in Saskatchewan

Not too much information in this article: nothing about polls or seats at dissolution. Perhaps this info is too "provincial" for the CBC to bother.
Last polls I saw the Sask. Party was far ahead and in most of the province the results will be a rout for the NDP. They may hold some city seats. I hope recent polls are better.
We could have a Saskatchewan and Federal election!

Election fever continues to build in Saskatchewan, with more signs appearing daily to suggest a provincial election call is imminent.

On Wednesday night, the NDP and the Saskatchewan Party are scheduled to hold party events in Saskatoon.

For the New Democrats, the event is Premier Lorne Calvert's nomination meeting.

Calvert will be declared the NDP's candidate in his Saskatoon Riversdale constituency.

In the past, the leader's nomination has been one of the last steps taken before the premier calls an election.

For weeks, Calvert has said an election would be held this fall or next spring.

On Tuesday, he narrowed the timeframe, saying a spring election was no longer on the table.

Under the rules, an election campaign could run anywhere from 28 to 34 days.

The Saskatchewan Party will be rallying its troops Wednesday night as well.

Both parties have been airing campaign-style television ads in recent weeks.

The NDP government has also unleashed a torrent of spending announcements over the past month, resulting in more money and programs for nurses, post-secondary students, aboriginal people, artists and musicians.

Both the Saskatchewan Party and the Liberals have rolled out spending proposals of their own.

Some Liberal campaign signs have been spotted around Regina and other areas.

The last election was held Nov. 5, 2003.

As was the case last time, 58 seats would be up for grabs.
